  • Developed tools and framework for a large team of artists, animators, and engineers to build a VFX-heavy production rendering final pixels in Unreal Engine.
  • Digital human technical art and technical direction for highly detailed characters with high-resolution layered skin maps using streaming virtual textures and UDIM layouts, refractive eye shaders, strand-based hair.
  • Technical direction and development of lighting solutions for still-in-development real-time raytracing solution in a complex outdoor environment.
  • Lots of coordination and technical problem-solving for physics-based clothing simulations, muscle simulations, blendshape and skeletal animations, strand-based hair grooms.
  • Wrote automated rendering system to allow final-quality rendered shots to be generated automatically in review-ready and editor-ready formats

  • Developed timecode-aware scheduling system for interactive elements for live show.
  • Wrote Blueprint and C++ code to implement interactive elements.
  • Wrote extensible data-driven classes to allow character and team data to be populated and changed safely and easily.
  • Developed Niagara effects and triggering systems to allow live show operators to control them.
  • Optimized show assets and advised artists on practices and pipelines.
  • Worked extensively with engineers from Lux Machina to synchronize software for a very large nDisplay and multi-user-editing environment.
